AmeyBriggs’ MITER contract with the UK MOD is a pilot for the Whole Force Approach, providing Sponsored Reserve plant operators and maintainers to the MOD, as well as earthmoving and construction plant, and materials handling equipment along with associated training, maintenance and replacement programme for assets.
Around 20 WFA personnel attended Exercise Wheeled Sapper in Bovington. It was an 8 Brigade exercise and the biggest single demand for WFA.
The visitor’s day was held yesterday, which was well attended by AmeyBriggs personnel along with senior Army Reserve officers from the Sapper community. It was great to see AmeyBriggs people mixing with, working alongside, instructing and supporting Royal Engineers Reservists, gaining essential plant operating experience and qualifications, as well as delivering some real tasks to the Defence estate.
